Big data and its applications in coal research and exploration

Abstract: Data type and amount is growing in an amazing speed and making a big difference in human society. This is the age of big data. Now, data is no longer just a processing object, it already becomes a resource that help human society develop. The application of big data has coved widely areas, such as medical, finance, public service and so on. However, there are not many researches that related big data with coal industry, especially in the western countries. Many people have not noticed the valuable utilize of big data in coal industry. Actually, big data can contribute a lot in coal industry, and there are several countries already started do the research about develop big data technology in coal industry.
