Scope and Content

Collection comprises signed artwork, books, collected media clippings, collected audio-visual recordings, journals and periodicals, sound recordings, memorabilia and ephemera concerning the SS Edmund Fitzgerald. The SS Edmund Fitzgerald sunk in a Lake Superior storm on November 10, 1975, with the loss of the entire crew. When launched on June 8, 1958, she was the largest boat on the Great Lakes, and remains the largest ship to have sunk there. Also includes documentation concerning Mr. Miller's activities as a marine/Fitzgerald collector and enthusiast.
